Ok so a lot has happened with my life since the last journal entry.
So I guess this covers my life from March 18th up until today, April 26th. I realize I promised this much sooner but the demands of life are such that I can't do what I want when I want, for now at least. So here goes:
March18th I went on the University Snowboarding trip, and it can only be described as awesome. I was lucky to be able to go on the trip as I couldn't afford it, but my parents offered to pay for it as my Birthday present. It was the best present I've ever had. We went to the same resort that we went to at Christmas, this wasn't a problem in the slightest. This trip wasn't independent like the last one, we travelled as part of BUSC, the British Universities Snowsports Council, which meant that the resort was inhabited by 2000 British students, does someone smell trouble?
The nightlife was fantastic, with fancy-dress nights that always ended up being hilarious. There were lots of lovely ladies, but nothing could've really happened, because of the room, which I will get to later. We had many a night of drinking and drinking games, making sure that everyone was suitable inebriated. My favourite night I got to dress up as a pirate, where I got to use the phrases:
"What the Plank!"
and
"Yar! I'm just a Pirate chasing booty"
But every night was memorable. I guess I've lead to talking about the room, which could have been a lot better. There were 6 of us in the room, which would have been cramped for 4 people, and was just generally cramped, but I'll put up with almost anything for a week of snowboarding.
The resort was really cool, although there wasn't a lot of snow because it was the end of the season, but the riding was good, and a lot more runs were open than when we went at the beggining of the season, even though there was less snow than then.
Coming back from the Snowboarding trip it was my birthday two day after I got back. So I didn't have much time from getting back to just do nothing, but I'm missing an important issue. Just after I left my family from Australia arrived to stay with us, which was fantastic, I hadn't seen them in 3 years. Coolest thing was my cousin, who's now 15 turned out to be really cool, we like all the same stuff, even though I'm not sure liking all the same things as a 15 year old makes me coll or not....
But anyway 2 days after I got back from the Snowboarding trip (March 28th for all those who want to know my DoB), it was my birthday. It was cool, and I also got a digital camera, I wasn't expecting it but it was really nice of my parents to get me it. I didn't do anything for my birthday on the day, it was only a day later when I celebrated it in full. I went out for a meal with my family and a couple of close friends (Heather and ~
x-Cyrene-x for all the detail freaks out there). It was nice to have so many people there, and they were also very generous with the presents they gave. After the meal we went to an improptu house party, and ended up drinking well ... a lot. It was an awesome evening because I got to see all my old friends from school I hadn't seen in about 2 years.
Then came an event which leading up to it scared the crap out of me. Whilst I was at university my uncle asked me to be my cousin Francesca's GodFather. It was a really big thing, and I was really worried about the whole event. In the days leading up to the Christening though I did get a really sharp suit to be the GodFather in. I also had to get all the Brando jokes out of my system, so All my "Offers you can't Refuse" and "On this the day of my daughter's wedding" had to be oversaid before the big day. I was so nervous outside the Church, but the ceremony turned out really well, and went without a hitch. We had a really nice reception afterward, but I spent all the time running after my cousin Grace, who's 18 months and had more energy than everyone else at the reception put together, I was knackered by the end of it.
Fast Forward 2 weeks...
April16th I went to New York on a university study trip, it was a really cool trip, but I didn't have time to see anything I really wanted to. It was a fantastic trip, but the work was time consuming. I got to see the Statue of Liberty and UN building, as well as Wall St. and Times Sq., but other than that I didn't really get to see much, which was really unfortunatly.
Then that kind of gets us to here, today and now. I'm delighted to say I'm now working as a freelance designer. It's for fun but it's the start of an internet business. My friend *
b-mac has expanded his website in the idea of forming a larger internet phenomenon, where we're printing t-shirts and other clothing items.
The websites located at
[link], and I've just been encorporated into the blog, I'm the first guest editor, but *
b-mac is still head honcho. For all those people who have read this far, Thank You, and if you could check you the site it would be awesome.
